Position Summary

The Project Engineer plays a critical role in supporting mechanical construction projects by owning the procurement process, coordinating materials, and partnering closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure successful project delivery from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

Own the procurement process from receipt of drawings and specifications through material delivery and closeout documentation, including preparing submittals, tracking approvals, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining an accurate procurement log. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Superintendents and treat each assigned project as your own from kickoff through completion. Maintain strong organization through updated task lists, email management, and follow-up on action items to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Support mechanical, piping, and plumbing projects by reviewing submittals, ordering materials, coordinating installation timelines, and continuously building technical knowledge.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn and grow technical expertise over time. Initiative, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently. Strong communication, collaboration, and follow-through.

Preferred Experience

Experience in mechanical, plumbing, or piping construction environments. Exposure to procurement, submittals, or construction project coordination. Interest in growing into a Project Manager role.

Salary

  • $80,000 - $95,000
